Hello and welcome to my blog! I'm Teddy and I'm game for traveling just about anywhere in the world for a shoot (but I'm based out of Huntington Beach, CA if you wondered). This site is dedicated to expanding on my shooting habits, travels, and the awesome people that I meet along the way.
My photo mantra is shooting pictures that highlight the awesomeness and emotions that surround us. Thanks for visiting, and feel free to utilize the "Comment" feature to leave me comments :)
Balboa Park in San Diego is a pretty cool place. Went down to see Cyrano de Bergerac at The Old Globe but had some extra time beforehand to wander around. Interesting architecture, gardens, and a museums (although I didn’t have time to go into the museums). The performance of Cyrano de Bergerac, despite being 3.5 hours, was thoroughly entertaining.
Here’s some pics off my point n shoot from my wanders before the play
Two quickies from my hike today of Mt Baldy with my Grandpa, brother, sister-in-law, and Jen. More pics once I have a few minutes to breathe and go through them….
Chilling at the Angels game…watching them get whipped by the Rockies. Currently 8 to 1. Meah–good to chill with the fam.
EDITED TO ADD:
This week is crazy. Both my brother & sister-in-law are in town, as well as some other friends that I haven’t hung out with in a bit. Sandwich that all between Father’s Day and my mom’s b-day, throw in work, and I’m going to be going 24/7.
So far there’s been Bowling, Mini-Golf, Up (the movie), a 4.5 mile hike/walk around Back Bay (and I was stung by a bee on my head for my efforts), games & dinner with the grandparents, and an Angel’s game. Still to come: hiking Mt Baldy tomorrow, BBQ w/ peps tomorrow night, lunch at my pad & Beach Cruiser madness, dinner & a play in San Diego, quick trip to Catalina, random work…and some other stuff that I’m forgetting. Oh yeah…sleep. Off to that now. Night.
Sunday was beautiful so I rode my beach cruiser from my pad down to the outlet for Newport Harbor and watched the boats going in and out. Awesome day. Then today the weather was completely overcast. Common summer. Stick around already!
Ever lost data? Without a backup its gone…and it sucks. I run multiple backups (daily/monthly/continuous + local/remote) of my important stuff but today I had a mild oh-S#!% moment.
Loaded up Aperture (my photo management software) and NOTHING is there–none of my pictures. I reformatted my laptop yesterday and in its initial sync to my Mac Pro I guess it decided to wipe my photos. So of my two actively edited duplicates libraries (A) there are no files on my laptop, (B) there are no files in my desktop’s library. We’re talking all pictures I’ve taken in the past year that I liked and decided to keep. Yeah, there’s some low-quality exports lying around somewhere, but none of the hi-res or originals. YIKES!
Lucky for me I have Time Machine running on my Mac Pro Scrolled back a couple days, found my valid library, clicked restore, and check out the magic.
So really. Run backups of your important stuff, and if you have a Mac make sure to run Time Machine!! Hard drives are cheap enough now-a-days and they’re worth their weight in gold when they can bail you out. Alright…off to the gym to make use of that adrenaline rush
Thanks for the bday wishes. Weird…this time I’m starting to realize that I’m getting older–no longer the fun 16, 18, 21st birthdays–its cheaper car insurance (25), AARP, Senior discounts, meah…I’m enjoying it.
A favorite site of mine posted this. WHAT?!?
This day in history (1987)…Reagan told Gorbachev to tear down the wall. Coincidentally & for the record of those I keep getting pestered by (you know who you are), JD (who is not too far from the remains of the wall) was the first live person to wish me a happy b-day. lol
So one of my really talented friends (Tony) and his friend Tim put together music video for a song they wrote. A couple pics of mine made the final edit…and its an intriguing song…so here you go:
